Protest MPAC Teleconference Call with SPLC and CAP Tonight at 8:30PM EDT

Progressive fellow travelers of the Obama Administration, the Montgomery, Alabama, Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) and the Soros-backed Center for American Progress (See our NER on Fear, Inc.) are joining on a teleconference call sponsored by Muslim Brotherhood front group, Muslim Political Action Committee or MPAC.  MPAC will be holding the call at 8:30PM EDT (5:30PM PDT) today.  Here is a link for those you wish to participate in the MPAC call.

A group of national religious leaders have sent out an alert about tonight’s MPAC-sponsored teleconference call.   Here is a link to the letter sent to the President, founder and intelligence personnel at SPLC.

The signatories include:

Rabbi Jonathan Hausman

Dr. Charles Jacobs, Americans for Peace and Tolerance -peaceandtolerance.org

Esther Levens, President and CEO of the Unity Coalition for Israel - unitycoalitionforisrael.org

Faith J. H. McDonnell, Director, Religious Liberty Program, The Institute on Religion and Democracy – theird.org

Dr. Ashraf Ramelah, Founder and President of Voice of the Copts - voiceofthecopts.org

Rev. Keith Roderick, D.D. Secretary General of the Coalition for the Defense of Human Rights - coalition-me.org

Juliana Taimoorazy, Founder and President of the Iraqi Christian Relief Council - iraqichristianrelief.org

You can send a protest to SPLC via email  at this link, or call them at 334-956-8400.

I have sent the following email to the SPLC expressing objections to their participation in the  MPAC teleconference this evening.  Please forward this Iconoclast blog post  to your respective lists.

Messrs. Cohen, Dees and Ms. Beirich:

I understand that the Center may be holding a conference call with the Muslim Political Action Committee (MPAC) today.  MPAC, which alleges it represents American Muslim community interests, has a less than salutary record when it comes to expression of doctrinal anti-Semitism. Moreover MPAC has issued anti-Semitic statements, supported Hamas and Hezbollah, repudiated moderate Muslims, and hosted a speaker with Neo-Nazi connections to speak at their events. I find it troubling that the Center would consider liaison with MPAC given the Center’s premier role as a “civil rights organization dedicated to fighting hate and bigotry,”

As a past contributor to the Center's program, my name is still on your mailing list for solicitations, I am dismayed about today's teleconference call with MPAC, especially in light of the Center's role in highlighting the threat posed by neo-Nazi, Skinhead and Aryan nation hate groups, one member of whom committed the heinous massacre at a Sikh Temple in suburban Milwaukee.

For these reasons, I urge you to not participate in a teleconference call today with MPAC, whose pedigree of hate against Jews, Christians and moderate Muslims is not something that the Center could or should support, given the Center's important mission.

Jerome B. Gordon
