I always had a soft spot for Robin Gibb. They were at their best in the days before the Saturday Night Fever disco era.

They were very talented - I like some of the earlier stuff too.
John Derbyshire has a good essay on Saturday Night Fever.

Reports of my death are unfortunately not, unlike the benefits of screening for prostate cancer or those of the British NHS, greatly exaggerated. -Nice to see the squib (not to be confused with an explosive) on Gibb and the blurb for Derb (we in North Africa are not shy about the "talks" we give to our children with respect to our many warring tribes), but what am I? Chopped Libyan? -And not even so much as a "Franco still dead" type update/tribute from Saturday Night Live.
"Gibb, Thribb, Throbb" - you strumpet heart throbs and throbbing members of NER - what the hell does Mr. Derbyshire meaning by "thrumping"?*
I suppose that I should be grateful that neither Moammar nor I lived to see the opening of the many-faced Zionist entity's "The Dictator."

The BeeGees were very talented. I'd no idea, for example, that they'd written the monster hit "Islands in the Stream".
They've also written songs for Dionne Warwick, Celine Dionne, Barbara Streisand, and quite a number of others.
One of their compositions, recorded by Conway Twitty, was a number 1 hit on U.S. country music charts back in 81.
I never associated them with Country Music.

Figments stay in karaoke hell until they get the song right. In karaoke hell, no one ever gets it right.
