Tale of British brutality toward Barack Obama's grandfather probably untrue, book claims Bookmark and Share

From The Telegraph

The story of how the President's grandfather was jailed by British troops in 1949 and brutally whipped for aiding the violent struggle for Kenyan independence is probably untrue, a new book has concluded. It is a harrowing tale of torture in a colonial prison in Kenya that is said to explain the President's coolness towards Britain and even his removal of Winston Churchill's bust from the Oval Office.

David Maraniss, the author of Mr Obama's most comprehensive biography so far, said five associates of Hussein Onyango Obama doubt he was even jailed. One told him: "People make up stories". Mr Onyango, a Muslim convert who worked for the British Army in Burma during the Second World War, was accused of sympathising with the burgeoning pro-independence movement that eventually turned into the Mau Mau rebellion in 1952.

Mr Obama wrote in his memoir, Dreams From My Father, that his grandfather "was placed in a detention camp" after being reported as a subversive "to the white man" by a rival land-owner. After his release, "he was very thin and dirty", he "had difficulty walking, and his head was full of lice," wrote Mr Obama, who was told the story by relatives during his first visit to Kenya in 1988.

Mr Onyango's third wife, Sarah, has claimed that her late husband had his testicles crushed and his nails and buttocks pierced as jailers at Kamiti Prison outside Nairobi sought information on the rebels. Mrs Onyango, who is now 90, said Mr Onyango still bore scars from his treatment when he died in 1979, and that the story tarnished her step-grandson's view of the British. The President "has never believed the British do anything for a common good, rather than their selfish interests," she told an interviewer in 2010. "He said the whole act sounded barbaric. He wondered why the British never respected African culture."

Mr Obama denies this, yet the story has over the past four years been cited as an explanation for his snub of then-prime minister Gordon Brown, his early reluctance to talk about the "special relationship" and his decision to return a bust of Churchill that George W. Bush had displayed in the White House.

Zablon Okatch, who worked with Mr Onyango as a servant for American diplomats after his supposed detention, told Maraniss: "Hussein was never jailed. I know that for a fact. It would have been difficult for him to get a job with a white family, let alone a diplomat, if he once served in jail".

Dick Opar, a former senior Kenyan police official, said he "would have known" if Mr Onyango had been detained. "People make up stories," said Mr Opar. "If you get arrested, you say it was the fight for independence, but they are arrested for another thing".

Even one of Mr Onyango's daughters, Auma Magak, told Maraniss: "He was not detained", suggesting that he had once been kidnapped by thugs and the story had been twisted through the generations.

Maraniss also notes that no records exist of the detention and that within a year of his supposed imprisonment, Mr Onyango's son, Barack Obama senior, was accepted into a prestigious boarding school in western Kenya.

The alleged inaccuracy in Mr Obama's backstory is one of several noted by Maraniss, who also discloses the true identities of several girlfriends that the President compressed into one character in his 1995 memoir.

A White House spokesman declined to comment.

I have sometimes wondered how Barack Obama reconciles to himself the fact that he is now in the role of being the imperialist power that is slamping down on national liberation movements: analogous to teh British with the Kenyans.  How does he feel about Guantanomo Bay or any of the other things that are a part of war?

With respect to Obama's "slamping down" (here apparently a perky portmanteau of slapping and clamping down and not quite to be confused with the stomping of Stompie Moeketsi by Winnie Mandela's Soccer Club (also see Dalrymple's cheeky but tongue-in-cheek call for the abolition of women's soccer)), the Urban Dictionary's definition of "slamp" as an abbreviation of "slampiece," that is to say, a term of endearment or, at worst, a mildly derogatory way of referring to a sexual partner, would seem to apply given BHO's letting go of the nursing along of Hosni Mubarak (currently getting intensive nursing care) without fear of getting something worse and the giving of the Hawaiian "stink eye" to Syria's ophthalmologist in chief, not to mention Barack's use of prosecutorial discretion in prosecuting a non-war (assisted by the massive firepower of some of Europe's mighty social democracies) against a largely quarantined Quaddafy in support of Libya's Liberation Movement as it went viral.

BHO has had to balance his life-long Leninist the-worse-the-better impulses (there might also be a bit of green-flagged Da'wah mixed in the desires, memory and Mist of that red-diaper baby) with the exigencies of congressional and presidential elections.  Much of Obama's left wing base has seemed to be willing to cut him some slack in the realization that his assassination of Osama and the use of drones against Al Qaeda is "just business" (that is to say, the business of Realpolitik, if not ticker tape parades and accolades for US heroes, who, for the most part, don't support him); not "personal" in the Chicago gangster activist way. And he has surely been aware of the domestic political costs of trying defendants from Guantanamo Bay in US civilian courts, let alone those of wholesale emancipation of the internees. By avoiding precipitous withdrawal of US forces from Iraq and Afghanistan he has decreased suspicion that he is soft on terrorism while he manages to waste men and materiel in support of regimes which, although they foreswear formal alliance with Al Qaeda, are fundamentally and viscously anti-Western, anti-Christian and anti-Israel.

Regarding Obama's wildebeest chip on his shoulder against the West which exists in part
on account of the British occupation of Kenya, he seems to have, with such few exceptions as dissing the police in the matter of  Henry Louis Gates at the gates of the professor's home and in expressing racial solidarity with Trayvon Martin in the matter of the actions of that "child" in a gated community, he has largely left the Mau Mauing of domestic dissidents to a slacker claque of journalists who, rather than rebut an argument, will often dismiss its proponent as "racist."

BHO seems to prefer to sit out the issue of internment at Guantanamo Bay, where the old intifada lay, don't get you back, you British soldier, to Kenya, caloo, calais

Barac Obama is the creation of, first, last and foremost, his two genetic halves and their cultural influences.

From his white mother and his maternal grandparents, he got his Messianic personality. This personality hails anti American, anti capitalism, anti American military, pro socialism, pro global socialism and pro Islam as its constituency. From his black father Obama, Frank Marshall Davis and the American black mindset he got anti white, pro black, social justice theology.

There could not have been a more volitile and dangerous mix that I can think of, to then go on and become the POTUS.

Whether the Kenyan family stories are true or not, once Barac was sworn in as POTUS his job was to protect and defend the constitution of the USA, not to weild Presidential power for retribution over some petty family story at the expense of America and an American, an exceptional American ally, the British, but he did.

He is not Presidential material.

In fact, as I worked to understand him, from where he came  and where he was going to, I realized he was created to be the biblical anti Christ of the secular world, he was created by his mother and maternal grandparents to be the anti American Messiah. He was to be the one, the savior for all those who hate America and the things America stands for, to rejoice in, because he would destroy that America.

He has done quite a job at destroying America and the world. I many times refer to him as the great wrecking ball smashing into the good ediface America.

Barac, among other things, reflects, by achieving the Presidency, all that is wrong with a fully enfranchised democracy. A fully enfranchised democracy cannot vet for immaturity and the insanity of immaturity. Therefore all fully enfranchised democracies are inherently at risk of implosion by those who prefer to shirk their personal responsibility to mature.

Americas founding father were aware of the dangers of, among other things, a non natural born citizen becoming the POTUS, so they included in the constitution I believe, for all who aspire to the Presidency, to be a natural born citizen.

Evidence mounts that Barac is not a natural born citizen of America.

Though the liberal MSM promotes and protects Obamas eligability, there is quite a bit of smoke rising fast and faster.

For those who wish to know more on this, check out Sheriff Joe Arpio, sheriff of Maricopa County Arizona and his Cold Case Posse, or the state of Florida eligabilty proceedings on Obama, online.

One and done! Nobama 2012, vote republican. Thank you.
