Thanks to Alan for saving me the trouble of having to Google for a photo of the one-eyed Hamza (not to be confused with the "Blind Shiek", Omar Abdel-Rahman). It would be "far too easy a target, in too many obvious and well-trodden ways" to make sport of the judge's Christian, or sur, names or to trod upon the grave of Marty Feldman because of a "banal" "impulse" to cite his role as "Eye Gore" in Young Frankenstein.
Seriously, there was nothing amusing about this:
(I remembered the ugly "incident", although I had to be informed by Google of the principal's mellifluous name, Mahmdouh Mahmud Salim, and that he was described as "Osama's best friend.")

Erradumb: At least I didn't write "to boldly trod," but it was to no avail; shoulda' been, OMG, tread, not trod, when I did trod and fail.
