DL Adams as a critical writer and thinker "gets it"! Not all is lost on America. "A Perversion of Ethics" today certainly does include FGM which is the brainchild of God knows who as it is not a religious writ.. It is torture in its rawest form and is performed by the gentler sex - the woman. It is practised by mostly Muslims although there are other religions that may adhere to this practise as well. He goes on to make big mention of the Nazi doctors who were more than willing to cut away intestines, organs and limbs from their healthy mostly Jewish victims. I can feel the frustration of DL Adams as initially educated and democratic societies did nothing to stop it then and does nothing now .
I must make mention to give heartfelt thanks to DL Adasms for his wonderful write-up on my late father's book, "The Lost Dream"

A refreshing and important analysis which even links Lifton's crucial explication of the system of rationalizations used by the Nazi "doctors" at the death camps and elsewhere. The fact that Pediatricians would stoop to the level of accepting and promoting the horrific female mutilation used in the Islamic world is, in itself, unacceptable. 100's of millions of women are subjugated and enslaved in the institutionalized barbarism of FMG and other forms of disfigurement, rampant in the Islamic world. Perhaps the AMA should consider requiring all physicians to read Lifton's "The Nazi Doctors", and/or The Nuremberg Mind, Hannah Arendt & "The Banality of Evil," or even Sanford, Adorno, et al: "The Authoritarian Personality."[1950].
