'Russian Forces Kill Militant in Caucasus'
'Russian forces say they have killed a senior militant (that is, a top jihad gang boss - CM) in the North Caucasus region where radical groups (that is, sharia-pushers - CM) are seeking to impose an Islamist state (that is, an Islamic sharia state - CM), officials said.
'Alim Zankishiyev, besieged in a house in Nalchik, the main city of the Caucasus region of Kabardino-Balkari, died in a shoot-out with Russian forces after refusing to surrender earlier in the day.
Sounds like Mohammed Merah. - CM
"The bandit was offered to lay down arms and give himself up to the authorities", Russia's Anti-Terrorist Committee said in a statement.
"In response he put up armed resistance and was neutralised during the storming of the house".
'Zankishiyev, also known as Ubaida, had been in charge of coordinating militant attacks (that is, jihad terror raids - CM) in the Caucasus region of Kabardino-Balkdaria and Karachayevo-Cherkessia, the statement said.
'He had been on the most wanted list since 2006. Over the past year he had reportedly been responsible for more than 30 attacks and murders of policemen in Kabardino-Balkaria.
'Russia is fighting a simmering Islamist insurgency (that is, Russia is defending itself against Jihad - CM) in the Caucasus, mostly in Dagestan and Ingushetia. But Kabardino-Balkaria, which is known for its ski resorts, has also seen a rise in attacks in the past years."
Wherever there is the Ummah, whenever it perceives itself to be strong, there will be jihad: jihad to impose the sharia, jihad to gain dominance over non-Muslims, whether locally, regionally, nationally or...globally. - CM
