'Yala Blasts Kill Ten'.

'Three bomb attacks minutes apart killed 10 people and wounded more than 100 on Saturday in the heart of Yala in the insurgency-hit (that is, the jihad-wracked - CM) far south.

'The blasts took place within a 10-minute span near the Rum Mitr intersection in the main business centre of Yala municipality around noon as families were out shopping, in the most deadly attack in five years in the Muslim-majority South.

'Around noon, as families were out shopping'.  In their usual vile and disgusting mix of cowardice and sadism, the Mohammedan jihadists choose the softest target they can find - unarmed people doing the family shopping. - CM

'A nurse in the emergency unit of Yala provincial hospital told AFP that there were nine dead and 112 wounded people had been admitted, but police later said the death toll had risen to 10.

'The Public Health Ministry said 10 people were in critical condition with severe burns.'

'The first bomb was hidden in a motorcycle parked outside a karaoke shop (one must remember that the sharia of Islam anathematises all music, whether sacred or profane, vocal or instrumental - CM) according to local media reports.  Insurgents (that is, jihad terror raiders - CM) detonated the second and third bombs, which had been hidden in a motorcycle and a car, when the authorities rushed in to check the first explosion.

This is classic modern jihad tactics: set off one bomb then a little later set off others so as to destroy the 'first responders' who arrive to try to help the victims of the first attack. Again, observe the infinite sadism and vileness of Islam. - CM

'Several shophouses near the blast sites caught fire and many parked cars and motorcycles were damaged by the powerful explosions.  Bomb squad officers were seen inspecting the mangled car wreckage at the site of the car bombs as firefighters doused blazes nearby.

And all of this costs money, bleeding the non-Muslim Thai state of resources as well as people. - CM

'Yala Governor Dethrat Simsiri said that many of the injured were hit by the third bomb, hidden in a car, as they gathered at the scene.

'Rescue workers helped bloodied victims and searched for other wounded people as smoke filled the street.

'The Yala bombing was the worst attack in the Deep South since January last year, when nine people were killed by a bomb in a village in the same province.

They were not 'killed by a bomb'; jihadists murdered them by means of a bomb.  - CM

'The complex insurgency, without clearly stated aims (seriously, does any well-informed person doubt that at bottom it is about achieving a/ regional Muslim dominance, driving out all non-Muslims or subjugating them to Muslims and b/ imposing the sharia of Islam? - CM) has plagued the far south near the border with Malaysia since 2004, claiming thousands of lives, both Buddhist and Muslim (I would hazard the guess that the majority of murdered people are a/ Buddhists and b/ civilians, whether Buddhist or deemed-insufficiently-Islamic Muslims - CM) with near-daily bomb or gun attacks.

'Authorities have imposed emergency rule in the Muslim-majority region, which rights campaigners say effectively gives the army legal immunity.

Why do not the rights campaigners focus on the sadism, vicious destructiveness and general inhumanity of the jihadists? There is something else, too, that must be borne grimly in mind: no doubt the Thai military has behaved badly in certain instances, but...even if the Thai authorities behaved toward the Muslims of southern Thailand with the scrupulous - even over-careful - decency with which the Israelis, by and large (despite the antisemitic agitprop we are fed by most western media) treat the Arab Muslims within and around Israel, many Muslims in southern Thailand would still be aggressive, sullen and resentful, and would engage in Jihad; for Islam inculcates a zero-sum mentality and a boundless sense of entitlement that leads Muslims to perceive themselves as oppressed in all situations where they do not have absolute and unrestrained dominance over non-Muslims. - CM

'The military last week admitted that troops had shot dead four Muslim villagers on their way to a funeral due to a "misunderstanding" in late January after apparently fearing they were under attack from militants.

The Thais have tried - like non-Muslims in many other similar situations - to win hearts and minds; they have tried, in general, to distinguish between the general Muslim populace and the 'tiny minority of extremists', but eventually they will have to face up to the awful truth that the whole of the Ummah in the Thai south is the sea within which the jihadists swim and from which, ceaselessly - and, it seems, of late, in ever-increasing numbers and with ever-increasing savagery - they emerge. And that nothing can deter or stop Jihad, except the projection and deployment of overwhelming force.  - CM

'One of the region's deadliest incidents occurred on October 25 2004, when several people were shot dead as security forces broke up a protest (hmmm - 'protest' - probably a Muslim riot - CM) in the town of Tak Bai, and 78 more suffocated or were crushed to death in trucks while being transported to a detention centre.

But are the rights groups interested in the Buddhist lady schoolteachers gunned down on their way to school, or the Buddhist plantation worker who was murdered, and then dismembered, with his head placed on a stake, and his torso (arms and legs removed) burned?  If one adds up the incidents of that nature, they amount to far more than 78 Mohammedan rioters. - CM

'Rights groups have said the failure of Bangkok-based authorities to hold security forces to account over the deaths has fuelled further violence and alienation in the region.

Ah yes, the old 'resisting jihad causes jihad' canard.  Not to mention the narrative of Muslims as innocent victims.  - CM

'Elsewhere in the troubled (sic: jihad-wracked - CM) provinces on Saturday, a policeman was injured by a bomb explosion at a food shop near Mae Lan police station in Pattani province, officers said.

'The victim was admitted to Pattani hospital...Police blamed separatist militants.

'Separatist militants'.  Muslims waging jihad in order to achieve first local, then regional dominance...with the ultimate goal being not merely national but global dominance.  And when and where they dominate, jihad continues in order to impose and enforce the sharia. - CM

'As well, a villager was killed in an ambush while walking home on a local road in Ban Khok Pan Ton in Pattani's Mae Lan district late Friday night, reports said.

'Late Friday night'.  After Friday prayers at the mosque let out.  A favourite time for Muslim riots, pogroms, lynchings, and murderous ghazi raids, world-wide. - CM

'The victim was identified as Ama Wani, 34, a resident of Ban Khok Pan Ton.  He was walking home with his four-year-old son on the local road in the village when gunmen hiding in a roadside forest sprayed bullets at him.

'Ama was shot in the head and died on the spot.  His son was unhurt."

I doubt that the child's survival is due to any particular moral restraint on the part of the Muslim ghazi raiders.

'14 die in southern carnage; Yala bomb blasts, Songkhla hotel blaze injure hundreds'

'Nine people were killed and more than 100 others wounded in three bomb attacks in Yala's downtown area, while an explosion that caused a fire at Lee Gardens Plaza Hotel and shopping mall in Songkhla's Hat Yai district killed five and left more than 350 injured.

'Authorities confirmed that the bombs in Yala were made by insurgents but could not confirm if the incident in Hat yai was linked to terrorism.

'But Hat Yai mayor Prai Pattano, who had earlier ruled out a terror attack, changed his mind after inspecting the scene, saying he believed it was terrorism.

'Chaos struck shortly before 12 pm in the business area of Yala's Muang district when two bombs went off on Sai Ruam Mit Road.  The explosives, weighing 60-70 kg, were stored in two 15 kg gas cylinders and put in an Isuzu pickup truck. Recovered from the blast site were parts of damaged gas cylinders and electronic circuits and power cables.

'As authorities rushed to the scene, another bomb exploded in front of a convenience store about 20 m away. The bomb was planted in a Toyota pickup truck.

'Shophouses, parked cars and motorcycles near the blast sites were set on fire.  The two pickup trucks used in the attacks and the suspects were captured on surveillance cameras.  The Isuzu truck was suspected to have been used in the recent attack on a security checkpoint in tambon Kalor of Raman district.

'In less than one hour, a major fire engulged Lee Gardens Plaza Hotel, which houses a hotel and shopping complex, following an explosion from the basement car park.. Four men and one woman were found dead.  Three of the bodies were recovered from the basement.

'More than 350 people were injured.  Most suffered from smoke inhalation and cuts from shattered glasses and windows...

'Surin Weerasuk, who headed an inspection team from the Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Department, said initial evidence suggested a possible car bomb.

'Songkhla Governor Krisada Boonrat said it was too early to conclude it was an attack.  "No bomb device has been found so far.  We need to investigate, he said.

'A bomb expert said the fire could have been caused by liquid explosives.

'Rescue operations were hindered by a lack of proper equipment...By late afternoon, the fire was under control.

'Phetdao Tohmeena, daughter of former senator Den Tohmeena, said she was in a meeting at the Novotel opposite Lee Gardens Plaza Hotel when she heard a loud explosion.

"I could feel the impact.  I saw smoke coming out and people sprinting out in panic.  Some looked OK and some were injured", she said.

'Songkhla police chief Pol Maj Gen Suwit Choensiri and Fourth Army Commander Lt Gen Udomchai Thamsarot ordered security to be stepped up in shopping malls and hotels in the province.

'Yesterday's death toll represents the greatest carnage since August 2008 when two explosions rocked Hat Yai and five others hit downtown Sonkhla.

'In Pattani province, a small bomb exploded in a food shop, slightly injuring a police officer, police said.

'A source close to the Southern Border Provinces Administration Centre said yesterday that escalated violence was aimed at sending signals that insurgents do not want to negotiate with authorities."

Of course the jihadis do not want to negotiate.  They are obeying the Jihad imperative of Islam, its central driver: to wage war against 'dar al harb' until everyone in the entire world is either a Muslim, a near-slave dhimmi with the Muslim boot grinding down firmly on his or her face, or...dead.  And even if they did - temporarily perceiving themselves to be in a position of weakness vis a vis the Infidels - 'negotiate' they would do so in bad faith, for Muslims are taught that there can be no permanent peace with Infidels, and that agreements made with Infidels cannot be permanent and need not be honoured.  'Negotiations' will be entered into only in order for the Muslim side to obtain time within which to regroup and rearm, preparatory to resuming jihad with redoubled force the moment they feel themselves strong enough to do so. - CM
