More Whack-a-Mole in the Caucasus: Russia Takes Out Five Jihadis

The Reuters version, as reproduced in the Jerusalem Post.

http://www.jpost.com/Headlines/Article.aspx?id=264693

'Russia says kills five Islamists in Caucasus'

'Moscow - Russian security forces killed five Islamist rebels (that is, five jihadists, or Mohammedan Mobsters - CM), suspected of plotting suicide attacks in the capital of the republic of Ingushetia on Tuesday, Russia's anti-terrorism committee (NAK) said in a statement.

'The Kremlin is struggling to contain an Islamist insurgency in the North Caucasus (that is, the Kremlin is struggling to defeat Jihad in the North Caucasus - CM) and President Dmitry Medvedev has called the North Caucasus separatist movement (that is, the North Caucasus jihad - CM) Russia's top domestic security problem.

'The NAK statement said the rebels opened fire on security forces after they attempted to stop their car.  It said all five were killed in the shooting.  It said two of the rebels had belts loaded with explosives, which are often used by suicide bombers.

And now Reuters trots out the usual misdirections and obfuscations, resolutely refusing to see the obvious - CM

'More than a decade after federal troops toppled an Islamist government in Chechnya (and installed a different regime which is, alas, likewise Going Sharia at a gallop - CM), security forces are fighting militants (i.e. jihadists - CM) in a region-wide insurgency fuelled by anger at poverty, clan feuds and corruption.

The insurgency - the Jihad to achieve a regional overthrow of non-Muslim authority and replace it by Muslim rule in a sharia-suffused state - is fuelled by Islam.  The anger, the poverty, the feuding and the corruption are not the causes of Jihad; they are, like Jihad itself, the fruits of Islam.  Anger, poverty, feuds and corruption are found, of course, outside of dar al Islam as well; but wherever Islam prevails they tend to be found to a degree significantly worse than in non-Islamic regions.   V S Naipaul in 'Among the Believers' observed that Islam 'sanctifies rage'; anger, together with suspicion and aggression and a zero-sum approach to conflict resolution, suffuses the core texts of Islam and, therefore, the psyche and society of  Muslims.  One can see how clan feuds, for example, would fester in such an environment.  And then there is the jihad imperative, the never-ending drive - hardwired into Islam - to achieve global dominance for Muslims by the absorption, subjugation or extermination of all non-Muslims everywhere.  Muslims are programmed to feel 'oppressed' and bitterly resentful in any situation in which they do not wield total dominion and dominance over the Infidels living around them or next door to them.

The jihad in the Caucasus, like the jihad in the Philippines and in S Thailand and in Western China and in and around Israel and in Kashmir, and in Nigeria, and in the Sudan, is waged in order to achieve Muslim dominance over non-Muslims (hence the immediate goal of the Jihad, when Muslims form a local or regional majority but a national minority, is to separate their 'turf' from the overarching majority-kafir state, which separation once achieved, the Ummah pockets its gains - a new patch of Muslim-ruled 'turf' - but does not settle down, indeed, usually jihad continues with redoubled force against  what remains of the original non-Muslim entity from which the new Muslim turf has been cut off), and also - within Islamic entities - in order to impose and enforce the sharia.

Were the Russian Federation to give the jihadis what they say they want, and release the majority-Muslim southern republics from the Federation so that they can be turned into Islamic sharia states (with their non-Muslim residents driven out, or converted, or killed, or reduced to actual or de facto dhimmitude),  I do not believe for one second that the jihad waged against and from within Russia would cease.  It would indeed be likely to grow worse.

And I will also state that should these republics separate from the Federation and become independent Islamic states, the anger, corruption, feuding and poverty that are rife within them will not ameliorate but will instead grow steadily worse, the more sharia is adopted and enforced.  - CM
