Quick Quiz Quickly Answered
During World War I, T. S. Eliot taught for a while at the High Wycombe Grammar School.
On April 17, 1941, Al Bowlly sang in High Wycombe (then still known as Wycombe, or Chipping Wycombe) and, though offered a place to stay for the night, decided to return to his flat in London. That night a German parachute bomb fell on Jermyn Street and killed him in his bed. You can read about it, while listening to him sing, right here.
But here, just for the hell of it, is another question. And for this you have a few hours. What link can you make between Al Bowlly and the Ayatollah Khomeini?
That's a bit harder.
