The good consumer never lerans. I am reminded that after filling my trunk with two garbage bags and two boxes of our unwanted things, I spent the majority of yesterday afternoon in Kroger, Wal-Mart, and Home Depot. (That knowledge, shoved into the corner of the mind like the very things themselves, certainly contributes to the joylessness of consumption.) I enjoy shopping like I enjoy taking an aspirin an act preceding half-maligned relief.Would like to read the EM Forster story.
