Too early to say.

I don't know, Mary.  When I lived in the UK, I ran into several people who celebrated the 4th of July with as much gusto as Americans.  They said we were a troublesome lot and they were glad to be rid of us. We then lifted a glass together!

Dear George (not, one presumes, the Third),

That was a wonderful story.  I'm also glad that the staff of NER does not make mock o' British and American uniforms that guard us while we sleep. While for some it's Tommy this an' Dandy that, an' "Chuck him out, the brute!" it's "Savior of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.

While the American branch has in some respects outgrown the British tree, some of us still celebrate our roots. (sorry - that was a tad sappy, or as they said during the First Great War, "over the top")
