Mega-Mosque Conflicts in America
by Jerry Gordon (August 2010)

Tennessee is considered to be the heart of the Bible belt in the United States. Yet, the swirl of controversies surrounding the acquisition and development of so-called mega-mosques in Tennessee is emblematic of a civilizational conflict emerging in the American heartland between Muslim and non-Muslim communities over how Islam and Sharia are viewed and defined. More fundamentally, it is about the question of whether Islam is a religion or a political doctrine seeking domination with a thin veneer of religious practices. What is a mosque? Is a mosque a worship center or something else? more>>>

Religious Tax Exemptions vs. Government Policies

Most people are aware that a church or religious organization can lose their tax exempt status for engaging in partisan political activity, like endorsing a political candidate. What many aren't aware of, though, is that the same can happen for promoting or engaging in things contrary to government policy. Tax exemption is a privilege, not a right.

Islam totally rejects the separation of church and state. What could be more "contrary" to government policy than that?

The ICM website posts information on Islam.  The 'brochures' section,  when scrolled, shows a listing of available brochures.  All of them revert to Discover Islam. This is affiliated with The Islamic Education & Services Institute. Go to that page and scroll to IESI Ethics.  Listed as 'experts' are Muhammad Alhanoti, Jamal Badawi, Ahmad Sakr and Nihad Awad.  Sakr is probably the most benign of the lot other than being a founding member of the Muslim Student Association.  Badawi is a former board of director member of the Muslin Brotherhood in the US and incorporator of the Muslim American Society.  Nihad Awad is a supporter of Hamas.  Therefore, isn't concern about ICM's support of and/or training in, radical Islam a legitimate concern for citizens of Murfreesboro.  Shame on local media.  This research took one half hour.

We all owe Jerry Gordon a huge debt of gratitude for informing us and exposing this horrendous and creeping Islamization of our country. We must demand that our legislators take seriously our concerns and not get bogged down in even greater political correctness than they have already. Tell everyone you know and everyone you see to get involved in this crisis of leaping proportions. WE MUST STP THEM. Read Brigitte Gabriel's "Because They Hate" for a real wake up call. And read Aaron Klein's The Manchurian President" which exposes Obama. Get educated!!!!

Thanks so much for writing this article.

The following is what was proposed in Bloomington, which included a prayer on Friday for one hour. Specifically the conditional use permit asked for a maximum of 200 for prayer in a room that was stated to hold 150.  I was told by a patron they have 800.  The estimate of 78 cars has turned into over 300.  An Eid celebration was held and my estimate was that just under 5,000 attended.  The city standard would be a 280 trip count for the amount of acres covered by the conditional use permit.  In just 3 hours on Friday afternoon they have more than twice that many. Then they return in the evening filling up the parking lot once again.
1) This is what was proposed:

“We propose to use the Al Farooq Youth & Family Center as a private primary school and as a community center specially focused on providing athletic activities for the community on weekends and weekday evenings.”

“With the private Primary School being the anchor of this Center other activities will more or less revolve around that.”

3) This is the current description posted on the web-site.

This is the mission listed on the web-site:

With this in mind, Al Farooq Youth & Family Center endeavors to establish an environment that will allow a person to grow and develop both physically and spiritually in their submission to Allah (i.e. Islam). By providing for all their basic needs in an Islamic environment, one’s remembrance of Allah (taqwa) will be nurtured and thus grow. Such an environment must provide a Masjid, a school for the young and old, businesses and shops for employment and basic needs including extracurricular activities, housing, athletic center, medical and financial institutions as well.

Our neighborhood is not the same, the suburb that we know has now been replaced by constant traffic and the noise and lights and danger that comes with the increase of traffic.  My house is surrounded by four busy streets now.
