??? ???? ?????? ??? ???? ??? ?????

A song that appears in the Soviet film “Aibolit 66,” based on the Dr. Aibolit (a kind of Soviet Dr. Doolittle) stories for children by Kornei Chukovsky, contains this refrain:

??? ???? ??????,
??? ???? ??? ?????

It’s even good that right now things are so bad.

I’d like to add: It’s good that the whole confused and stupid presentation of the problem of Jihad and Islam in Washington these last few days, the steadfast refusal to find ways to discuss, using wit and intelligence, the matter of  Islam, the baseless assertions about the wonderfulness of Muslims and their “extraordinary contributions” to American life, the assertion that it is Muslims who are “alarmed and worried” after we, the world’s non-Muslims, who have had to endure the Muslim-inflicted murders in Paris, and Copenhagen, and on the shores of Libya, and in Syria and Iraq, in a kind of Muslim competition of “can-you-top-this” violence. Obama’s words, his confusiion masquerading as “logic,” his inabiity to properly instruct the people he has a duty to instruct (instruction being part of protection) — oh, he hasn’t been party bad, or half bad, but totally completely awful. And the “stratergy” as idiotic as anything his predecessor did.

It’s Good That It’s So Bad.

Here, by the way, is the full song:
