No. The word is “zhulik” and as a direct object of the verb (“Lyublyu” or “I love”) it takes the form of the genitive, “zhulika.”
You’re right, Hugh, the noun is zhoolik, but here zhoolikA is the masculine animate accusative (forgot my grammar).
