FOUR racist teenagers have been locked up for an attack on a Jewish man walking home from a religious studies class.

Hassnain Aliamin, 18, Kesa Malik, 19, Balawal Sultan, also 18, and a 16-year-old youth travelled to the Orthodox Jewish community in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear, to find a victim.

They identified the man as Jewish by his traditional Orthodox clothes. They chased him until he tripped and, as they surrounded him, one of the youths threatened to kick him in the head. The teenagers, from Newcastle, admitted racially aggravated common assault over the incident in July last year.

Aliamin, Malik and Sultan were sentenced to 12 months in a young offenders’ institution. The youth, now 17, received a four-month detention order. All four defendants have been given a restraining order protecting the victim and are banned from the area for three years.

Judge Brian Forster QC said: “This offence was founded in ignorance and stupidity. Our country is the sort of place where people come from many different backgrounds and people do their best to live together in harmony.”

Stupidity that they would not be caught maybe. But not in ignorance. No, these youths were knowledgable about the tenets of the Koran, and the example set by their founder, the Warlord Mohammed.
