Apostasy

Islam is the only one of the world’s religions that kills people who voluntarily
leave the Islamic faith. This is not my opinion. It is a provable fact. I would refer
you to the Reliance of the Traveler: A Classic Manual of Islamic Sacred Law.
The Reliance of the Traveler is a compilation of Sharia law accepted by all six
schools of Islamic jurisprudence. Here is a direct quote from the chapter on apostasy. “When a
person who has reached puberty and is sane voluntarily apostatizes from Islam, he deserves
to be killed. (o8.1). Apostasy means to leave Islam for any other religion. Thus, a
Muslim that becomes a Jew, or a Christian, or a Hindu or a Buddhist is guilty
of apostasy and can be legally killed by any Muslim without trial.

This can and does happen tens of thousands of times in Islamic countries each year. We have
a chorus of Muslims advocating for the adoption of Sharia law right here in the United
States. We are told ad nauseam that Sharia is harmless and is totally compatible
with the United States Constitution. Our First Amendment enshrines the God given
right for a person to worship in whatever manner he or she sees fit. Freedom of worship is
an alien concept to Islam.

I feel nothing but sympathy for Muslims who have left Islam. For the rest of their lives they
must constantly be looking over their shoulder for an assassin who wishes to carry out
the dictates of Sharia law. The only thing standing between them and bloody, torturous
murder is the United States Constitution.

It is a basic human right to change religions without the threat of death, torture or compulsion.

  1. Just got my handy Reliance of The Traveller book today from Amazon and yes, you turn to the appendix on page 1,132 and there are the references to killing apostates.

So one turns to Page 593:

THE EXPIATION TO ALLAH FOR TAKING A HUMAN LIFE

“O: there is no expiation for killing someone who has left Islam,………”

So, not only is it required to kill an apostate, but you get a “get out of jail” card at the same time.
