The Company of a Blank Page
Is better company than most.
Open, non-judgmental, virginal.
–
And with the promise of a reader,
Open, non-judgmental, virginal.
–
A big perhaps in the country of perhaps
And yet a solace.
–
Dear Anonymous Reader: I love you already.
Stay with me through this stanza,
–
Through this book if book it shall be.
Let us unveil our sorrows and our joys,
–
You and me and me and you.
Let us be thick as thieves,
–
Let us shut out the rest of the resting world
And be just you and I, alive, for not so long,
–
But to each other.
