When She Is Around

By Rajiv Khandelwal (October 2017)

Remy Duval, Man Ray, 1930

She a stimulating conversationalist

Mixes incidents

Tall stories

Jokes

Creates countless talking points

Sweet talks

With explosive energy

Finesse few possess

Time spent with her

Always

Fun

Interesting

Addictive

Addictive

The sound of her voice

Her facial features

Her youthfulness

Her curves

All a magic tick

A spy-hole into dreams

That magically transport

Like the monologue

Whose energy

Earthiness

Earnestness

Catches attention

After just the initial narration

And keeps it captured

Till the encore

Perfect

Endlessly enthralling

A flawless fantasy

Given Birth

Any second

Every split second

As a look into her arsenic eyes

Dissolves

Disintegrates

Ice-hard resolutions

Which disappear as quickly as frozen water

In desert

Nothing is

As it seems

When she is around
