Great article. I just have one quibble: it is incorrect to say that the Islamists want to forcibly convert everyone. Islamic doctrine calls for the imposition of Islamic rule and Sharia Law on everyone, with non-Muslims reduced to dhimmi status. This is a form of religious imperialism fundamental to Islam and is what makes nice guys like Bassam Tawil the exception and not the rule.
