Believe it or not this monstrosity has been awarded “World Building of the year”

RUFKM?
Theodore Dalrymple will spontaneously ignite 😊
There should be an arrest warrant out for all of the staff at  FJC Studio, the architects for the project.

Of course they got the job because they incorporated indigenous art into the building. Scratching on rocks is quite the trend these days.

An Australian public school has been named the World Building of the Year in a prestigious architecture competition.

Darlington Public School, in Sydney’s Inner West, was given the title by the World Architecture Festival in Singapore on Friday.

It features a ‘sawtooth’ roof and large, curved metal screens that allow students inside to enjoy natural light while offering privacy.

The Sydney-based architects said they ‘radically transformed’ the school while keeping its ‘strong connections to Aboriginal people’.

The buildings on the right of the school look like hi-rises laid on their side, so I guess this architect wanted to “out-ugly ” them.

  1. What say the Aboriginal people for whom the school was built?
Who approved the design prior to construction?

  2. There are no ABorigines in Darlington and haven’t been for decades. In fact only 1% of the population of Australia is Aboriginal. Yet the lefties have decided that somehow we have to pretend that aboriginal culture has some relevance in modern Australia. It’s all a massive wank.
