When It Comes To Controlling Human Beings There Is No Better Instrument Than Lies
"In a dying civilization, political prestige is the reward not of the shrewdest diagnostician
but of the man with the best bedside manner.
It is the decoration conferred on mediocrity by ignorance."
– (Lieutenant-Colonel) Eric Clifford Ambler,
who made the journey from idiot socialist to normalcy, in 'A Coffin for Dimitrios'.
"A progressive is a man who is too cowardly to fight and too fat to run."
– with apologies to Elbert Hubbard, that slippery socialist soap salesman of the historic left.
Let's be quite clear on one small, but important fact: over the last forty to fifty years our current global capitalist system has reduced the absolute number of people living in poverty by just over 50%. You have been taught to believe otherwise – what you have been taught, in this instance, is wrong. That lie has been taught to you by so-called progressives and leftists whose only interest is in making sure that you do not know the truth and, thereby, that you come to feel that you ought to support them politically in their fight against capitalism and our free societies.
"Since the onset of industrialization – and as a consequence of this, economic growth – the share of people living in poverty started decreasing and has kept on falling ever since. But as a consequence of falling poverty, the health of the population improved dramatically over the last two centuries, and the population started to grow. The growth of the population caused the absolute number of poor people in the world to increase; only recently has the absolute number of people living in poverty started to fall as well." – from ourworldindata.

Note: The title of this piece is, in full, as follows:
“When it comes to controlling human beings there is no better instrument than lies.
Because, you see, humans live by beliefs. And beliefs can be manipulated.
The power to manipulate beliefs is the only thing that counts.”
and is by Michael Ende (he who tore up his call-up papers and joined a Bavarian resistance movement founded to sabotage the SS’s declared intention to defend Munich to the bitter end) in ‘The Neverending Story’.
