Casualties In Tikrit

Here.

In the Sunni narrative now being fashioned, the number of Shi’a casualties, and the time it will finally take to take Tikrit, and even the increasingly imploring, even desperate calls, for American (“coalition”) airplanes to come to the rescue, will enter those Sunni minds as How The Shi’a Hordes Were Held Off By A Handful Of Sunnis. You can imagine, even now, the tweets and comments in Arabic that must be all over the Internet, sent by gloating Sunnis, taunting Shi’a about their performance, and perhaps even noting that, even if the Shi’a Arabs outnumber the Sunni Arabs in Iraq by 3 to 1, this numerical superiority may not be decisive in the re-taking of Anbar.  Sunnis with no love for the uber-Sunni fanatics of the Isamic State may nonetheless find themselves taking pride in the performance of those fanatics– Takfiris vs. Rafidite Dogs —  in Tikrit against the Shi’a.
