He cannot make the distinction between the deliberate killling of cartoonists for “mocking Mammad” — thus imitating what they think Muhammad would have done, based on their reading of the Hadith about Asma bint Marwan, Abu ‘Afak, and Ka’b bin al-Ashraf — and the fact that in military actions by Western powers (American and other NATO members in Serbia, Israel in the latest Gaza campaign) sometimes journalists are among those killed, but not because they are journalists, or because of anything they, those journalists, said or did.
He’s mad, stark raving mad, Noam Chomsky.

He’s a mad-hatter to be sure. The esteem he is given in the academic community is a sad commentary as well. It must be said that the NATO attack on those Serbian journalists is indeed a crime. In fact, the entire war on the Serbs by the Western powers was completely wrongheaded. Poor Chomsky. He wants to defend the Muslims at all costs, but also criticize the Western powers for their actions in Serbia. I suppose he wants to have it all ways as long as the West, and the US in particular, come up the bad guy. Chomsky is a silly, sick man.
He’s also stupid. Stark raving stupid.
