It feels like the passing of an era – so many of the great talents we grew up with are now gone. This beautiful clip of the Everly Brothers was filmed on their UK tour in 1960 with Buddy Holly’s Crickets as the backup band, less than a year and half after the plane crash that took Holly’s life.

I’m just heartbroken today.
So many times their sweet harmony got me through tough times in my life, I’ll be grateful to them forever.
Now the both of them have passed on into eternity, we have to count ourselves lucky that we have youtube and recordings to relive what they had.
And what they had was indescribable musical union. I remember listening to their songs and thinking ” you just can’t get any better than this”
The world without an Everly Brother is just a sadder place. Thank you Don for all you gave me.
