Wikipedia can be useful, as a first step, in finding out a little something about something in order to figure out if you want to find out about that something something more. Sometimes the content worries. And sometimes the form. I just ran across, in the entry for the Italian scholar Ranuccio Bianchi Bandinelli, the following sentence: “Disgusted with Italian fascism, despite being the man who showed Hitler around Rome under Mussolini, he converted to communism after World War II.”
“Despite”? Despite showing Hitler around Rome under Mussolini, he became disgusted with Italian fascism?
