Government agrees to meet Gurkhas

News tonight, both on the street and the BBC is that the government has agreed to meet the Gurkhas and discuss their desire for pension parity, and therefore the two men and one lady on hunger strike on Whitehall opposite Downing Street will be ending their hunger strike. Which I’m pleased about, although I hope the government will produce something more substantial than mere platitudes.
