Grooming gang report petition – Petitions committee demands better response from the Government
Readers will remember my post last month about the British Government’s response to a petition demanding publication of the report into the ‘background’, ‘character’, call it what you will of the Muslim, mostly Pakistani, gangs raping and prostituting (aka grooming) young English girls in our towns and cities. It was a totally inadequate response. So inadequate that the chairlady (I’m old-fashioned) of the Petitions Committee, Catherine McKinnell MP has written to the Home Secretary criticising the lateness of the reply, the inadequacy of that reply and demanding a proper answer by Whitsun (end of May). Thank you to the friend who alerted me to the letter below.
As Priti Patel hasn’t been able (so far as we know) to get a look at the report herself this should (please…) be another reason to give the Fifth Column in the Home Office a further bollocking.
