We’re going to decolonize our thanksgiving by serving fish heads that we got at a local wet market, and Naz khatun as a side. General Tso’s chicken, too. We’ll be wearing our covid masks during the meal. I cut mouth holes in each mask so that we can eat without taking our masks off. After everyone is done with the decolonization meal we’ll all get our covid boosters together then go and attend a greta thundberg lecture on transclimatechange intersectionality via satellite from stockholm. My cousin Bennie is a maga extremist. He says I’m a “dumb fxxk moron”. So not true!!
Well ain’t you the picture of wisdom, mixin’ up a pot of arrogance and ingratitude an’ callin’ it Thanksgiving. We had folks workin’ day and night to whip up that COVID vaccine to keep you walkin’ above ground, and instead of givin’ thanks for livin’ in a country with all that treasure and know-how in its holster, here you are, flappin’ your gums at those who at least have the sense to, and feelin’ mighty pleased with yourself for doin’ it.
How about we all set our differences aside for this occasion, like decent company and a country that ain’t been swallowed by chaos yet? Stirrin’ the pot of politics on a day meant for coming together, seems like some folks just can’t resist ruinin’ a good time.
