International investigation finds weapons of Hamas hidden in Bulgaria

From Radio Bulgaria and the Telegraph

A cache of weapons allegedly belonging to Hamas has been found in Bulgaria,

“In the southern part of Bulgaria, weapons and ammunition were found in an underground warehouse, as the weapons were probably supposed to be used for Hamas attacks against Jewish sites in Germany, mainly in Berlin,” according to Der Spiegel, quoting sources from the Federal Criminal Police Office. Some of the weapons are partially unusable due to rust. Obviously unaware of first principles of weapon management, immortalised in the famous poem about the first things taught in the British Army, Naming of Parts

The information about the weapons was obtained by analyzing the mobile phone of one of the four Palestinians arrested in Berlin and the Netherlands in December 2023 . . .  police had found photos of pistols, ammunition and magazines on a mobile phone belonging to one of the men on Wednesday, leading investigators to a stash of weapons in Bulgaria.  They are suspected of preparing caches of weapons intended for terrorist attacks in Europe at the behest of Hamas.

Four suspected members of the Palestinian militant group were detained in Germany and the Netherlands  . . . German authorities said the four suspects – one Egyptian, two Lebanese and one Dutch national – were “longstanding members of Hamas”,
