It Really Hurts

A gynecologist friend told me when I asked how painful a difficult birth was, “You’ll never have a pain as bad as that.” As you can tell, he was a great teacher and I believed him implicitly. Until I wrote my first book, that is.

Imagine contractions lasting two years!

I thought of this when an unusual email came in this week. It said “I don’t know if you remember me but I’m in your book.”

Forget you? Not in a million years. You’re forever associated with the greatest pain I’ve ever had.
