Michael Rectenwald was a Professor of Global Liberal Studies at NYU and a proud Marxist. He was in very good company there. But he became disillusioned when the school embraced “safe spaces,” “cancel culture,” and censorship of dissenting voices. He began studying economics and realized the utopian dream is actually very dangerous. When he renounced Marxism and the campus culture, he was ostracized by fellow professors and ultimately pushed out.
