Knife attack at Gare de Lyon: not a ‘terrorist act’ at this stage, suspect ‘suffers from psychiatric disorders’

Of course he does. They all do; it is called Islam.

The latest from Le Figaro

“The attacker’s motives may be religious, but the terrorist trail remains ruled out,” a source close to the investigation told Le Figaro.

Paris police chief Laurent Nunes told reporters. “We found medicine on him which suggests he was undergoing treatment.”

The existence of a TikTok channel in the name of the alleged perpetrator of the attack, noted by several Internet users, is of concern to investigators, according to our information, although at this stage, it is not possible to confirm that the assailant was the owner. Videos with religious content, as well as another in which the author of the video states that “Africa must never forgive France”, were published by this channel. In this last video, a young African man evokes in front of the camera the action of France in Mali: “France has become the worst enemy of Malians”.

Meanwhile Francois-Xavier Bellamy   Member of the European Parliament  says that this incident is not an isolated one and this is obvious even if the government has refused to publish the figures of attacks with a bladed instrument since 2017.

And Eric Zemmour, leader of the  Reconquête Party said that the  Schengen agreement which allowed free movemnet around the states of the European Union should be suspended.  The arrested man, Malian Kossogue S was in France legally, having obtained residence permission in Italy.
