Knife attack at the Holocaust Memorial in Berlin

A man was attacked around 6pm this evening at the Holocaust memorial in Berlin, near to the US embassy.

Police spokesman Florian Nath said : “The victim is a male person, with injuries from a stabbing weapon. He is in hospital. The crime weapon has not yet been found and the perpetrator is at large. Witnesses claim to have seen him run away.”

Emergency services are treating witnesses for shock.
