Knifeman attacks man ‘burning Koran’ on London street

We’ll start with something from the MSM. This from the Daily Mail is probably the best of a less than satisfactory bunch of initial reports. One had the man with the koran given equal status as a ‘suspect’ along with the man with the knife who was attaching him; another had the knife acting almost independently of the stabbing man wielding it.

A knife-wielding thug attacked a man who was allegedly burning the Koran outside the Turkish Consulate in London.

In dramatic scenes on Thursday afternoon, the attacker could be seen brandishing a large knife while standing above the man on the road.

Footage posted on X showed a man with a rucksack and his hood up, holding a book up which was ablaze.

Terrifying footage cut to him lying on the road, where he was being kicked violently by another man.

The attacker could be seen spitting at him, having snatched the burning book off of him.

Shockingly, he then pulled out a knife and appeared to attempt to slash the man while he was on the floor.

Someone on X claiming to be the Koran burner said he was protesting against the president of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. He claimed that Turkey is being turned into a ‘base for radical Islamists’.

The man later posted: ‘While I was burning the Quran, I was attacked with a knife. The ambulance and the police came.’

He earlier said he was going to London to burn the book ‘for Salwan Momika’ and posted videos of him burning it and stuffing pages down a loo.

Momika was killed in Södertälje, Stockholm, after burning the Koran outside Stockholm Central Mosque in 2023.

A police spokesperson told MailOnline: ‘A man has been arrested following an assault in Knightsbridge earlier today. Police were called at 14:11hrs on Thursday, 13 February to Rutland Gardens following reports of a man being assaulted. The victim was taken to hospital with injuries to his finger. He did not receive any stab wounds. Officers attended within minutes and arrested a man on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and grievous bodily harm. He remains in custody and enquiries remain ongoing.’

This is some of the footage on X.

The man with the knife had it clearly in his hand as he ran out of Rutland Court, near to the consulate in Rutland Lodge.  A Deliveroo food delivery cyclist joined in by kicking the man while he was down.

About which from GB News

Deliveroo has launched an urgent investigation after a man wearing the company’s branded kit was filmed appearing to kick someone on the ground amid an alleged Koran-burning knife incident in central London yesterday afternoon.

One individual was filmed standing above the man before a delivery driver came off his bike to seemingly kick the victim. The delivery driver kicker is then seen returning to his e-bike and leaving the scene.

A spokesperson for Deliveroo said: “We are very concerned by this footage and have launched an urgent investigation. If a rider is ever found to be behaving violently while working with us, we will cancel their account with immediate effect. We will support the police investigation however we can.”.

  1. What I find most disturbing about this is the reaction of the public. No-one DOES anything!
The man taking the film keeps saying “unbelievable” over and over again. And all the while the scumbag with the knife kicks his victim on the ground and returns time & again to spit on him. This is what I find unbelievable! Turning the other cheek and not confronting this sort of public violence simply sends out a message to thugs countrywide that this kind of behaviour is OK. So thanks for the video Mr Tomlinson, but shame on passers-by -and you – for not intervening.
