London Calling II

By Esmerelda Weatherwax

Above; we formed up in the Strand. Now we are entering Trafalgar Square. The turnout is huge. The atmosphere is terrific.

In the time it took me to log on to Charing Cross station wifi and come out the march was still coming up the Strand in to the square.

I heard the Gospel Choir and Tommys speech of welcome. Walked to the next corner by St Martins and still they kept a-coming!

Laurence Fox spoke and was overwhelmed at the size of the crowd

Next speaker is Carl Benjamin.

This is a view from a shop window.

At time of writing the counter mob are fashionably late.

They turned up but the police are keeping them well away at the bottom of Parliament Street.

I have better photographs on the camera for later

Tommy has been showing his Trust or Truth documentary, covering issues such as the Batley teacher, the scuffed koran in the school playground and intimidation of his family.

I shall return to the square in a minute. I don’t want to miss Sammy Woodhouse but I fear I may have to find her on youtube at home.

I’m home. Better photographs and more information after my tea.
