by Rebecca Bynum
My husband, Hal Bynum, passed away one year ago yesterday and I’ve been thinking about what a wonderful life he gave me. I told Jeffrey Burghauser about this event when Hank Jr. and Kid Rock sang Hal’s song, “There Ain’t No Good Chain Gang” at Johnny Cash’s memorial concert. Many of Hal’s good friends were there that night, Hal’s manager Merle Kilgore, Hank Williams Jr., Kid Rock, Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, George Jones, Jesse Colter, Rosanne and John Carter Cash and others I may have forgotten. Hal gave me a beautiful life, filled with excitement and interesting people, and I will always be grateful for the years we had together.

Treasure memories — and stay strong. A great song, by the way!!!
Miss my long time friend Hal Bynum…he was one of a kind…. he was one of the founders of Outlaw County…a Great singer/songwriter and a Beautiful person. Rebecca was his rock and his love for her was forever….RIP my Brother…
Thanks Lev. Jennings, there will never be another like him, that’s for sure. I know he’s waiting for me on the Mansion worlds and we’ll be together again one day. Hope you are well.
“….and it was weird how we trusted each other right from the start.”
My goodness, what an experience. Thanks for sharing your memories.
