Mendacious Nabila Ramdani

In an article blending Taqiyya and Tu-Quoque, and the underhum or general whine of self-pity, Nabila Ramdani outdoes herself in her little piece on Charlie-Hebdo and the woes not of the French, now living in conditions  that promise permanent insecurity and fear because of the Muslims in their midst, but of those Muslims themselves. And among her many lies, little and big, or attempts to mislead, little and big, there is this:

“Hassen Chalghoumi, imam of the mosque in Drancy – scene of those Holocaust deportations during the Nazi occupation – spoke up for many when he said of the killers: “They have sold their souls to hell. This is not freedom. This is not Islam and I hope the French will come out united at the end of this.”

Two of the dead – Ahmed Merabet, a police officer, and Mustapha Ourad, who was working in the Charlie Hebdo office – were themselves Muslim. Many fellow Muslims were among the crowds that poured on to the streets on Wednesday night in a show of solidarity for the Charlie Hebdo victims, rallying behind President Hollande’s call for national unity.”

Quoting Hassan Chalghoumi as a representative voice of French Islam is mendacious. Chalghoumi is a unique case, the one imam, in all of France, who has tried to establish non-hostile relations with Jews, who has dared to recognize the Holocaust and express sympathy to Jews for that, and who has been attacked by many Muslims, including many who were in his own mosque who, to show their displeasure with him, have left the mosque. He has been subject to physiccal attacks, and his mosque fire-bombed. For Nabila Ramdani to cite him would be as if someone, wishing to make the case for the innocence of Nazi Party members, offered up as a typical Nazi one Oskar Schindler.

And then there is the business about Muslims showing up in large numbers at these rallies. They haven’t. Here and there a few, but very few, and the attempt by correspondents to find, and focus on, and interview, Muslims showing up at these “Je suis Charlie” vigils have had pitiful results. I’ve watched everything that has been televised. And I know, as does Nabila Ramdani, that there have been no million-man, hundred-thousand-man, ten-thousand-man, thousand-man, even hundred-man, march of Muslims to denounce not just the killers (that’s easy, anyone can do that) but the reasons for their acts, which can be found in the stories of those who, having mocked Muhammad, were killed — to his evident satisfaction and even pleasure — for mocking him. Nabila Ramdani knows the names, and stories, of Asma  bint Marwan, and Abu ‘Afak, and the others — that’s what every non-Muslim should be made aware of, and Muslims should be aware, too, that the well-informed non-Muslims will not stand for any more of the evasions, whines, nonsense, lies of the likes of Nabila Ramdani. She should be thanking her stars, she and every other Muslim, who have been allowed to come  and live in the lands of the non-Muslims, away from the hellholes that Islam creates, and she should be expressing her gratitude, evey day, by trying to protect the country in which she now lives, and the non-Muslims among whom she now lives, by telling the truth about Islam. Otherwise she should be regarded with permanent suspicion, and treated as she deserves to be treated.
