Metropolitan Police statement on Hatun Tash
My information, originally from a person I do not know but who has an excellent reputation was that she is safe, but has reason to live quietly at the moment. However with the situation on London’s streests what it is, and the sentencing of Edward Little who plotted to murder her in mind many were uneasy and petitioned the Metropolitan Olice to investigate as a ‘missing person’
This is their reply today.
UPDATE: In recent weeks, concerns have been raised online about the safety of Hatun Tash. While there was no specific information to suggest she had come to harm, given the number of people who were worried about her safety, a missing persons investigation was launched. Based on the information established as part of that investigation, Hatun is no longer being treated as a missing person. We understand that those who are worried about her will want to know more details to satisfy their own concerns, but it would not be appropriate for us to go into the details of either the investigation or any specific communication officers have had as part of it.

I know the police have failed to apprehend and charge the young Muslim man who slashed her face last year. The photographic evidence is so good that I am happy to declare him to be both male, Muslim (from his dress and company) and young. Hence the concern. But for the time being I am going to trust the source that Steve Speakers Corner consulted, and consider that the Police Statement confirms that she has not suffered harm.
However we know that there are those out to do her harm and only one of them is behind bars tonight.
