‘Mockery of the justice system!’ Islamist hate preacher lifts lid on experience of prison confinement in leaked recordings

From GB News

Exclusive recordings of notorious jihadi Anjem Choudary reveal how Islamist prisoners have been “mocking the British justice system for years.”

The never-before-heard recordings, obtained by GB News, provide what some describe as “cast-iron proof” that convicted jihadis should face stricter isolation measures.

The revelations come as reports emerged that Choudary is suspected of inspiring Manchester Arena bomb-maker Hashem Abedi to attack prison guards.

Security services fear Choudary influenced Abedi to douse a female officer with scalding hot butter and stab two other officers at HMP Frankland.

In the exclusive recordings, Choudary speaks candidly about how prison officers lack understanding of radical Islam. . . “The Government obviously created these separation centres to de-radicalise individuals and prevent them from being influential within the prison system,” Choudary said

In a second recording from 2022, Choudary explains how separation centres actually benefit extremist inmates.

“Practising Muslims who go to prison want to spend their time with fellow Muslims, and they don’t want to be constantly looking over their shoulder, This creates an ideal scenario for them—being placed with like-minded individuals—where they can collectively ignore the prison infrastructure entirely. For me, it (being sent to a separation unit) was a relief because I’m now only with Muslims. You know, we love each other. We do everything together. We completely ignored anyone who was a prison staff member.”

The recordings suggest that rather than preventing radicalisation, separation centres may inadvertently create environments where extremist views are reinforced.

Speaking about the recording on GB News, host Patrick Christys claimed that Islamist prisoners have been “mocking the British justice system for years.”

He added: “I think it’s time for Britain to consider building several huge facilities full of solitary confinement cells that are then used to house the ever increasing jihadi lunatics that we have, both inside and outside of our prison system.”

Choudary, 58, was previously held in the same segregation unit as Abedi at HMP Frankland in County Durham.

Prison officers believe Choudary, described as the “Daddy” of the separation unit, may have encouraged Abedi to carry out Saturday’s attack. . . A source told The Sun: “Choudary had become a leader of the unit and the younger extremists like Abedi looked up to him.”

A source said: “Abedi was completely silent and grinning as he carried out the attack. There is no doubt he wanted to kill and it is miraculous they all survived.”

This is not his first attack behind bars. In 2020, Abedi was found guilty of assaulting a prison officer at Belmarsh prison alongside two other convicted terrorists. After Saturday’s attack, Abedi was moved to the separation centre at HMP Full Sutton.

Counter-terrorism police are now leading the investigation into the incident, with officers set to question Choudary about his potential involvement.

The units have been described as a “prison within a prison” with a small association room and an area for prisoners to cook and prepare food. I have heard that T0mmy R0bins0n asked for access to the unit with kitchen so he could cook his own food at HMP Woodhill. He was told that facility was closed for repairs, only for it to be opened at short notice at the weekend to accomodate Islamic prisoners moved from HMP Frankland spearated from the main body after the attack. They lie. Always they lie.
