Mother and three daughters stabbed in French resort ‘for being scantily dressed’
A woman and her three daughters have been stabbed in a French resort for being ‘scantily dressed’.
An eight year old girl was left fighting for her life after the attack in the Garde-Colombe in the Hautes-Alpes region of South East France.
The girls are believed to be between eight and 14 and the man with the knife is alleged to have fled the scene by car before being arrested.
Local reports suggested the family had been targeted because of the way they were dressed while local prosecutors said details were ‘very vague’.
The town’s mayor, Edmond Francou, said the girl had suffered a perforated lung.
Police said they had a 37-year-old man in custody.
Three guesses as to the perpetrators’ religion.
