Biden and the Democrats have just sold Israel down the river–but they’ve also just gone and ratified the Equal Rights Amendment–long after the clock ran down on it and even though it was a state or two short of ratification. How many years will the legality of this Amendment be battled in courtrooms? What enforcement mechanisms and what funding have the Democrats put in place?
Will this be something like the Violence Against Women Act which was merely a symbolic Act, never well funded, never really enforced? Is this Biden/Obama/the Democratic Party’s bid to placate American Jews who are largely left-wing, DEI social justice warriors?
At this very moment, I am too devastated and far too worried about the “deal” that Israel has been forced to accept–a “deal” which ostensibly leaves Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran in place–and perhaps simply have no emotional room left to rejoice over what will probably be an inch-by-inch campaign for sex-equality in America.

With apologies if it is presumed sarcastic, because it is intended more seriously-
What actual rights would now be secured by the ERA that do not now exist, in a society that since the 70s has come to assume that all references to human rights or to persons in the law apply equally to both sexes? And can be adjudicated where abridged, on that basis?
[A little more sarcastic, and derivative because everyone has already said it] In the US, presumably the obligation to register for compulsory military service is the remaining lack of equality.
