Duke Ellington, asked what two things he would take if he had to spend the rest of his life on a desert island, said the Bible and Lena Horne.

This might be the first time that a one sentence post has appeared on NER. Of the 29 words so generously provided by the poster three were really good. Had the poster considered providing another sentence perhaps the success rate would be higher.
To ‘A Reader’ (aka Sour Beer Lou)
Which three words?

To Sour Beer Lou,
The wisest writer in the English language said ‘Brevity is the soul of wit.’ Evidently that
is beyond the limits of your comprehension.
PS ‘Three of the words were really good.’ What babbling nonsense.
If I was going to be stuck on a deserted island and had to choose between either Mr. Green or his devoted follower as my companion, I’m pretty sure I would pick Mr. Green. He seems like he would be lovely company, whereas his admirer sounds like someone I would end up wanting to shove off a cliff into the shark-infested bay below.
Many thanks, Mohammed. I’d be happy to share the island with you. Just bring your own girl. Best wishes, Reg
