The other day I forwarded a short list of email addresses that I had not used for some time to a friend who wanted to send a document to people with their interests. It turned out that two of them had died and two others are in poor health. A famous remark by George Burns came to mind with renewed force: “When I was a boy,” he said, “the Dead Sea was only sick.”
