I stared at the headline on the tv screen tonight in disbelief. ‘Queens Mom’s accused killer in court, ‘ it read. “This is the end,” I said to myself. “If even that impeccable old lady was murdered, I don’t want to go on living.” Then I remembered: the Queen Mum died twenty years ago. No, she hadn’t come back to save her royal family of losers from their own folly. The victim was that ill-fated mom in Queens.
