Ouch! What’s in a Name?

As the election season looms and responsible citizens deplore what they call tainted giveaways  by politicians to special interests who in turn donate heavily to their campaigns, I remembered the politician who Gay Talese met and who denied federal subsidies were tainted in any way.

The only taint about them, he said, was that there t’aint enough of ’em.
