Something Blue

Regular readers might remember that my family like to visit the Dickens city of Rochester in Kent, where there is an annual (but not this year) Sweeps Festival of Morris dancing and folk music. The Cathedral, like four other dioceses in and around London is closed because of Covid 19  but prayer continues and “a sign of our constant prayers for those anxious, suffering and bereaved, the Cathedral spire will be lit blue. This is the colour of the Virgin Mary to whom the Cathedral is dedicated as the Mother Church of the Diocese and also the colours of the NHS, as we remember and pray for all those working in the Health Service.”

From obvious reasons I didn’t take the photograph above. But I did take the one below last month, which seems a very long time ago now.

The Museum of the Moon was very impressive, for reasons I won’t bore you with now.
