From the Telegraph and update from the French edition of The Local
The attack occurred at around 7am in Aubervilliers, north of Paris, when a primary school teacher was stabbed with a box cutter by a man wearing a balaclava and gloves, reported Le Parisien newspaper.
The teacher’s life is not in danger and the attacker is on the run, the police source said, adding that the probe has been taken over by anti-terrorist investigators.
The attack occurred at around 7am out the front of the Jean Perrin d’Aubervilliers school in the northern suburbs of Paris, when an unidentified man stabbed an elementary school teacher with a box cutter, reported Le Parisien newspaper. After reportedly stabbing the teacher in the side and the throat, the man said “That’s for Daesh, this is a warning”, the paper reported. Daesh is another name for Isis.
The attack was carried out in Aubervilliers, in Seine-Saint-Denis department in the north-eastern suburbs of Paris. No school children are believed to have been at the scene when the attack occurred.
The Islamic State’s French-language magazine Dar-al-Islam called in its November edition for its followers to kill teachers in the French education system, describing them as “enemies of Allah” for teaching secularism and “in open war against the Muslim family.”
