Clearly echoing Jesus. The question I have is why he avoided expressing his thought in the terms everyone is familiar with, whether Christian or not. Was it because he is, I assume, an atheist who could not allow himself to quote Jesus? Or was it because doing so would undermine his credibility among his, I assume, largely secular audience? I suppose both reasons could apply.
