What would happen if I were to walk down the streets of Mogadishu, Baghdad, Tripoli, Khartoum, Sana’a, even Damascus or Tehran in my normal Western attire wearing my customary cross around my neck? What about Kabul, Islamabad or Riyadh? This gentleman asked that question for himself of his Iraqi “partners” who were utterly indignant over Trump’s temporary suspension of visas. Here is what they said.

I was unable to view the video but from the experience of myself and my wife if you visited Tehran (and Isfahan, Shiraz Yazd, Kerman, ferouzabad) wearing a crucifix and western attire (meeting Iranian government standards of modesty) what would happen is that ordinary Iranians (or at least middle class ones) would welcome you and probably invite you to their homes.
You would also be able to go to church.
Most educated Iranians seem thoroughly fed up with their theocratic government and are practically religiously non- observant. They are also keen to talk to Westerners.
