1. I note that a Frenchman who also received a medal wanted to remain anonymous. Could it be out of fear of reprisals from some of his ‘concitoyens’ of recent vintage?

2. There is something else about this affair – this thwarted jihad attack – that no-one seems to have remarked upon, as yet. That is: it was attempted on a **Friday**. On that day above all days that Mohammedans like to reserve for murderous mayhem.
